Tuition

Naminya is an impoverished community of farmers. 110 children go to Noah's Ark Academy Naminya (NAAN) at the moment. These children come from different backgrounds. Some of them live with their parents, while others are orphans who are being taken care of by family members.

A part of the parents and caregivers of the children are not able to afford the tuition. Others can only afford part of the tuition. The goal of the foundation is to financially support these underprivileged children, so they can get an education.

We also give one of the female villagers financial support to go to school to become a teacher. She can work at NAAN as a teacher when she gets her degree.

Supported Children.

The foundation now supports twenty children in tuition fees. Below are the stories of some of these children.

Doreen can go to school without worries with the help of a donor. Doreen is 9 years old and shortly after her birth her parents died in the civil war that raged in northern Uganda. She was taken care of by relatives who fled to the south of Uganda. Her family members are very poor and could not afford an education for Doreen. NAAN offered her the chance to get an education anyway, but because there was no money she only received the basic lessons. Now that she is sponsored, she can buy a uniform, teaching materials and participate in sports activities.
