Welcome to the website of the Naminya Foundation

The focus of the Naminya Foundation is to support local projects in the Naminya community in Uganda. Naminya lies about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) outside the borders of Jinja.

The most important project we are currently supporting is the build of a school, Noah’s Ark Academy Naminya (NAAN). NAAN started out as a daycare for vulnerable orphans/children in the Naminya community. Afterwards NAAN started focusing on elementary education. The goal is to develop the talents and abilities of the children, so they become self-sufficient adults who can bring a positive contribution to the community. NAAN also provides a ‘community outreach’ program. Through this program we would like to educate the people of the community to change life for the better. An example would be to improve personal hygiene.
